# Elasticsearch

The AppSignal gem works out of the box with [the official Elasticsearch gem for Rails](https://rubygems.org/gems/elasticsearch-rails).

When an Elasticsearch query is performed in your Rails application, AppSignal will track it as an event. This event will be visible in the sample event timeline and slow queries features in the AppSignal interface.
