# Upgrading AppSignal for Kubernetes

> Update AppSignal for Kubernetes with kubectl or Helm to get updates, bug, and security fixes.

New releases include updates, bug and security fixes, so keep AppSignal up to date. To update, apply the deployment manifest again:

```bash Bash theme={null}
kubectl apply -f https://raw.githubusercontent.com/appsignal/appsignal-kubernetes/main/deployment.yaml
```

If you installed with Helm, update the chart instead:

```bash Bash theme={null}
helm repo update
helm upgrade appsignal-kubernetes appsignal-kubernetes/appsignal-kubernetes --namespace appsignal
```
