# Upgrading AppSignal for JavaScript

> Update @appsignal/javascript with its integration and plugin packages, or move to AppSignal for Browser.

New releases include updates, bug and security fixes, so keep AppSignal up to date.

## Update the packages

Update `@appsignal/javascript` together with every `@appsignal` integration and plugin package you use, then redeploy. Each integration and plugin package depends on one exact `@appsignal/javascript` version, so update them all at once.

Run the install command again with every package you use. For example, with the React integration:

```bash Bash theme={null}
yarn add @appsignal/javascript @appsignal/react
npm install @appsignal/javascript @appsignal/react
```

If you use `rails-importmap`, run `./bin/importmap pin @appsignal/javascript` again to pin the latest version. If you generated an import map with JSPM.io, generate it again.

## Move to AppSignal for Browser

New features only land in `@appsignal/browser`, which is currently in beta. To move an existing app, follow the [migration guide](https://docs.appsignal.com/browser/migration.md).
