# Upgrading AppSignal for Elixir

> Update the appsignal package to get updates, bug, and security fixes, and check which Elixir version each package version needs.

New releases include updates, bug and security fixes, so keep AppSignal up to date. To update to the latest version your `mix.exs` allows, run `mix deps.update appsignal` and redeploy.
